No matter how carefully we prepare and know the details about pros and cons of a job before applying for it, unfortunately, there is no way to ensure that the position we are going to accept is good or bad unless & until we enter into the work mode. Ranting I hate my job, I was not prepared for it won’t help much as many people do the same, and this is not a good sign at all to broadcast these facts. We know that it is impossible to continue when you hate as this becomes a nightmare, but don't worry, like every problem, it has the solution. Though it’s not easy to grab an opportunity, so this is not advisable to quit instead lots of things can be done to back in the right direction and to minimize the pain.

Make it private

It is not wise to express the hate at anywhere and same applies for the job as anger may backfire before any preparation, and ultimately chances of losing the current job will increase. In this social media era, everything we express publicly through Facebook status or a tweet but sometimes people tend to forget that they are not alone using this and as a result, they show their expression to wrong people. In case you are expressing something, take care of the privacy settings otherwise you will post it for all the wrong reason or better to keep it private or limited to only family and close friends. No matter whatever the reason, it is not a good idea to lose something just because you complain; so better option is to prepare yourself for a safe exit.

Find out the root cause

It’s not a change if you don’t feel it. This is the hardest part of everyone’s life, and that’s why people need some time to make them comfortable in a new environment, and maybe this happens with you; so give some time before assuming that you are in a wrong profession. Even after working for some month if you still feel uneasy then identify the problem and it can be anything- rude boss or management style or old working methods or lack of growth or boring job with no progress or there is nothing new to learn. Be clear if changes required to your current position and what it should be and what can be done and think about the possibilities from the current position. The more you clear, the less you bother.

Look for new opportunities

If you think it’s difficult to survive then time to change but without broadcasting your unhappiness because it’s not going to help for getting a new one because chances are they will think you may hate them and no one wants to be hated. To prepare yourself, make sure to update the resume and if you start applying after few days then don’t include the current role and keep a copy of updated CV to avoid extra time. It is not enough to search jobs through various portals and search engine because sometimes people get through the reference and it’s not a small thing as 60% jobs are found from the network, and you may be the next. Whether you are working or not, networking is a vital part of professional life and no matter where you are, it’s important to increase this and maintain a good relationship with all contacts because, in the end, they are the people who can inform or refer you.
When you are looking for a change desperately don’t hesitate to move back because it’s better to take a back step rather than sticking with the problem though we are not saying to compromise with self-respect still, there are lots of ways to ask the previous employer for a comeback and this is not shameful.

Leave in a professional way

It doesn’t matter whether you are working for two years or weeks, leave the job in a professional way to avoid any trouble though there is no doubt of sudden quit for a person who works for years but happens with most of the recent joiners. Give the notice period and offer assistance to complete the pending tasks even if you don’t want to mention about it in the resume still, there is something called professionalism which is an unwritten rule for every employee and employers.

Erase it completely

Sometimes people don’t get anything during this period that would help them to learn something new or let them qualify for the next level position, so there is no point to mention it. If you leave the job and take a new one or back to your old position or whatever you do, keep in mind that it is not necessary to mention everything on the resume and no one can force to do this. It is better to erase from both memories and resume, to avoid negativity.
